What is and where is the Sumner County Veterans Residence?

The Sumner County Veterans Residence was established in the late 1990s and is owned and operated by the John T. Alexander American Legion Post 17, in Gallatin, Tn.

Important note: This is the only veteran's home in Middle Tennessee and receives no federal, state, county, or city funds. 

When did St. Michael’s get involved?

St. Michael's outreach to the veterans residence started in August 2018.  

How many veterans are at the location?

We presently serve 23 veterans - 21 males and 2 females.

When does the St. Michael’s team meet with the veterans?

· Our outreach to the veterans’ ministry meet on the first and third Monday of each month. 

· We meet at Kroger, Gallatin at 12:00 noon to shop;

· After shopping, we then go to the veteran residence at 1pm.

Our Outreach Committee includes eight parishioners.
